چکیده
Background: Fracture neck of femur has always presented a great challenge to orthopedic surgeons due its nature going into non-union and osteonecrosis femoral head even with the best fixation method adequate reduction. Treatment fracture varies according patient’s age pattern. Purpose this study was compare outcome DHS side plate de-rotation screw multiple cannulated hip screws in adult.
Materials methods: This quasi-experimental carried out Department Orthopedic Surgery, Chittagong Medical College Hospital from July 2017 June 2019. Sixty patients limit between 18 55 years, (AO/OTA 31-B) taken by purposive sampling technique as per set criteria were treated either or screws. Harris Hip Score used for evaluation functional surgery.
Results: In study, 60 patients, male (83%) more than female (17%), maximum incidence found 26-36 years group (30%), left involvement 51.7% right 48.3%. Over 60% RTA. Functional 68% excellent 24% good 55.6% 25.9% Score. Only 6.7% had soft tissue infection, 13.3% deep seated infection delayed union, 10% stiffness AVN de- rotation 13.33% group. Mean ± SD radiological union time 12.5 1.225 weeks 13.61 1.559 weeks.
 Conclusion: The better adults.

Comparing Therapeutic Outcomes of Dynamic Hip Screw and Multiple Cannulated Screws as Internal Fixation in Femoral Neck Fractures
Background and purpose: Femoral neck fracture is associated with a high rate of side effects, especially in young people, who are usually affected by severe energy shocks. Results after injury depend on some factors, including displacement, fragility, bleeding rate, proper placement, and stable and strong fixation. The aim of this study was to compare dynamic hip screw (DHS) or multiple cannula...
متن کاملAddition of an anti-rotation screw to the dynamic hip screw for femoral neck fractures.
The authors investigated the use of an anti-rotation screw with the dynamic hip screw (DHS) during internal fixation of Garden I and II femoral neck fractures. Sixty-five patients with Garden I and II femoral neck fractures (mean age, 70 years) were treated with internal fixation at the authors' institution. In 31 patients, a 2-hole DHS was used alone (group 1), and in 34 patients, the DHS was ...
متن کاملType II Intertrochanteric Fractures: Proximal Femoral Nailing (PFN) Versus Dynamic Hip Screw(DHS)
Background: Intertrochanteric fracture is one of the most common fractures of the hip especially in the elderly with osteoporotic bones, usually due to low-energy trauma like simple falls. Dynamic Hip Screw (DHS) is still considered the gold standard for treating intertrochanteric fractures by many. Not many studies compare the DHS with Proximal femoral nail (PFN), in Type II intertrochanteri...
متن کاملComparison of Intertrochanteric Fracture Fixation with Dynamic Hip Screw and Bipolar Hemiarthroplasty Techniques
Background: At present, there is no consensus on an appropriate treatment modality for intertrochanteric fractures in the elderly with background diseases. The aim of the present study was to compare treatment outcomes of intertrochanteric fractures reduced with dynamic hip screws (DHS) and bipolar hemiarthroplasty in elderly patients with background medical conditions. Methods: In this randomi...
متن کاملImplant failure in a proximal femoral fracture treated with dynamic hip screw fixation
Dynamic hip screw fixation is a common orthopaedic procedure and to date, still can cause difficulties to the senior trauma surgeon. We present a case where an extra-capsular fracture of the proximal femur was managed with a dynamic hip screw (DHS) fixation. She proceeded to the operating theatre, where the fracture was stabilized with a 75-mm DHS and short-barrelled plate. The implant position...
